Full of Life Mosaic is located in the Emerson Street community garden in Montgomery, Alabama. The design was a collaboration between a local artist and myself. The cinder block wall was installed by a work study youth group on a solid foundation, which they fabricated. Four 4 ft x 4 ft cement boards were adhered to the wall using thinset and bolted into place.
Over a period of several years, I facilitated and helped in fabrication of the mural. Students, from local schools and a local community center as well as members of the neighborhood came together weekly to work on the wall. All of the materials were donated and adhered to the wall using thinset.
