Community Outreach
Mosaic is the perfect art form to work with all ages and sizes of community. One of the most exciting things I do is to work with groups of people either as a facilitator or a teacher to make art that enhances a community.

This is an example of an after school project called Unite Our Hearts Art Camp. Activities for this 6 week program included reading stories, finding the virtues within the stories and making art related to the stories and virtues. For one of the activities, the children each made a mosaic heart, which were mounted together on a board. Using scrabble letters, the identified virtues were added.
This program was funded through a grant by the Alabama Council on the Arts.
