Artist Statement
My inspiration comes from spiritual themes (such as detachment or purity of motive) and meditation upon these themes. This meditation is a pilgrimage, a journey with the Divine that I strive, in my art, to communicate through the analogy of landscape. My process is an exploration of my soul’s landscape mirrored by physically walking the earth, searching for and gathering natural materials. When I create art, I seek to create and find my connection with the Divine, my higher self, and others on their journey into their soul landscape.

Rocks and minerals are my preferred medium and are showcased in the Broken Stone Gallery but I also work with Pal Tiya, shells, varieties of glass and ceramics, and broken dishes. These materials are showcased in the sculpture, commissioned work, portraits and genre scenes and community outreach galleries.
