This small piece was made for the MAANZ project. It was a call to all mosaic artists, worldwide, to create a mosaic of an endangered or otherwise beloved animal. Possums are such a vital part of Alabama's natural world but are thought of as pests, even though they are not, and routinely run over or shot. These small critters are consumers of waste, ticks, and fleas, among other things.
